 Rev. Dr. Siang-Yang Tan is a Professor of Psychology in the Graduate School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He is a licensed psychologist with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from McGill University and a Fellow of APA. He has published articles on lay counseling and lay counselor training, intrapersonal integration and spirituality, religious psychotherapy, cognitive behavior therapy, epilepsy, pain, and cross-cultural counseling with Asians and Hispanics, as well as twelve books, including: Lay Counseling: Equipping Christians for a Helping Ministry, Full Service: Moving from Self-Serve Christianity to Total Servanthood, Rest: Experiencing God's Peace in a Restless World, Coping With Depression (with John Ortberg), Disciplines of the Holy Spirit (with Douglas Gregg)  and a major textbook, Counseling and Psychotherapy: A Christian Perspective. Dr. Tan currently serves as Senior Pastor of First Evangelical Church in Glendale, California.
