Scott Scruggs is the teaching pastor at MPPC, where he also leads the College and Young Adult ministries. In addition to his various teaching and preaching responsibilities, Scott is the primary teacher at Sanctuary, a dynamic Sunday night worship service where college students and twenty-somethings are rediscovering Jesus and being equipped for leadership in the church. “It breaks my heart that more and more people view the church as irrelevant or insensitive to the complexities of daily life and are seeking community and dialogue elsewhere. We want to do something about that.”
A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Scott completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University and received his Master of Divinity from Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, officially making him a Califarkansadian. In his free time, you might find Scott strumming his guitar, surfing in the icy Pacific, reading an obscure book, or enjoying a night out with close friends.
