Scott Palmbush is the campus pastor at Open Door Church Mountain View. Before coming to MPPC in 2007, Scott Palmbush served for nine years as associate pastor at Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church with responsibility for a variety of ministries including children, youth, men, and marriage and family.
Scott grew up in Montana, but came to the Bay Area to study and play football at Stanford. After graduating with a dual degree in economics and public policy, Scott felt a call to ministry and worked on MPPC's high school staff for two years. He then studied at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree and a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and, most importantly, met his wife, Rachel.
Scott and Rachel have four children who occupy most of his spare time. Scott also enjoys playing golf, hiking, camping, playing guitar and working out. He recently took up triathlons, and survived a swim from Alcatraz. He loves to travel to new places, read great books, and spend time with friends over a good meal.
