Each year in the spring, almost 3,000 women, men and children from all MPPC campuses discover the joy of serving through Compassion Weekend. This special weekend was born in 2006 out of a dream to see the church increasingly engaged in acts of service in our own communities. Through this unique experience, we can share the love of Jesus in simple, yet powerful ways...and touch the lives of thousands of people in the process.

On Compassion Weekend, we cancel our regular weekend worship services and send everyone out to work on service projects up and down the Peninsula. And then we gather on Saturday and Sunday evenings for joy-filled worship celebrations.

There will be a variety of opportunities for you, your family, or your small group to participate. Compassion Weekend is also a great opportunity to invite a co-worker, friend, or neighbor to work alongside you as we address key needs in our communities.
