Do you find yourself searching for ways to serve God's kingdom here on earth, but you're not sure how to do it or where to start? Perhaps, in addition to attending worship, you're looking for ways to put your faith and talents into action?
Join us for a one-day Saturday workshop where you will discover your God-given spiritual gifts, explore your passions, and learn how to use them to serve God through the church, the community, and the world.
We encourage you to explore how you are wired to serve God. Whether you come as one, or with a spouse, small group, or ministry team, this is a great workshop to help you learn about yourself and also how to affirm others' giftedness. The cost is $20, to cover workshop materials and lunch. Childcare is available if we have requests for at least 5 children a week before each workshop.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit--fruit that will last--and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. ~ John 15:16
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
"It helped me gain confidence in believing it's OK to be me..." ~ workshop participant
GOD'S PLAN FOR YOU
Understand that God has blessed you with unique gifts and talents so you can go forward and accomplish His work in the world. There is a connection between who you are and what God has planned for you to do:
For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. ~ Ephesians 2:10
Discover your spiritual gifts and passions as an important step in your spiritual growth. As a Christian, God calls each one of us, including you, to serve others:
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. ~ I Peter 4:10
Find places to serve in the church and community that best fit your gifts, passions, and availability for your current season in life:
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.
~ I Corinthians 12:4
