Menlo Park Campus, Fellowship Hall
When was the last time you and your spouse went on a "real" date? We believe that marriage is one of God's greatest gifts, and successful marriages require quality time together--without the kids! Each Great Date opens by introducing a specific marriage-related topic, sends you out to dialogue over dinner or a walk, and concludes with dessert and group reflection. Childcare is offered by advance reservation. Because of preparations needed for the Denomination vote on November 3, there will not be a Great Dates event on November 2. Please join us the next Great Dates event scheduled for January 18.
This year, our ministry theme is "Powerful Love", based upon II Timothy 1:7. For our first meeting on September 21, we will learn the key to your mate's heart through empathy. Sometimes couples experience communication difficulties when they do not understand this key ingredient in the process. You will have an opportunity to deepen you understanding of what empathy is and how to experience it more often in your relationship. Empathy creates feeling of connection, trust and safety that are essential to an intimate marriage.
Please mark your calendars with the following dates:
September 21 - "Understanding Empathy - the Key to Your Mate's Heart" with Dave and Mary Campbell
