This team will visit Achungo Children's Centre, whose mission is to transform the lives of orphans and destitute children in Kenya, providing care and education, giving them hope and a future, while nurturing integrity and responsibility through training in Christian values.
Our activities will include working with the children, teaching games, sports and probably doing some tutoring for those struggling in school. Some of us will work with the teachers on methods, materials, classroom management, and other helpful tools or skills. Some of us will work on simple construction or repair projects.
Achungo is located in very rural southwestern Kenya, near Lake Victoria. Our trip will include five days working at the Achungo School with the children, 2 nights at a safari lodge in the Masai Mara wild animal park, and a day of debrief. From SFO we fly overnight to Europe, then to Nairobi with van rides to our destinations thereafter. We will stay in a fairly comfortable hotel a 2-minute walk from Achungo and take all our meals there.

Cost: Approximately $2,995, which includes flights, ground transportation in Kenya, hotel and meals. Does not include costs for visa or immunizations.
