You can make a difference in the Bay...
April 28 and 29, 2012

For seven years, Compassion Weekend has mobilized thousands of people to make a difference in the Bay Area. Houses have been built, schools renovated, teachers supported, homeless served, children cared for, and ministries launched. In addition to the measurable results of the work, Compassion Weekend has opened up new relationships between churches, neighbors, schools, and ministries that we would not have thought possible just a few years ago.

Compassion Weekend is all about caring for each other. All around us, people are hurting. They are tired, worn down and lonely. God cares deeply about the real-life challenges of real people in our neighborhoods and in our world today. We serve each other as an extension of that compassion. There is no hidden agenda or secret motive. For this one weekend, we set aside our regular weekend services and activities simply to serve those around us.

We want to invite you to join us.

It doesn't matter whether you attend another church or have never stepped inside a church building. You can make a difference in the lives of others around us. Projects include: construction, education, land-scaping, medical, relational and world-impact. We've designed some activities specifically so that your whole family (including children) can participate. Childcare will be available for young children, 3 months to 4 years, by reservation on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
