Friendship Visitation

The Friendship Visitation Ministry is an outreach program that offers opportunities for relational support and prayer for members and friends of MPPC, most of whom are either temporarily or permanently unable to participate in the regular services and activities of the church.

Widows and Widowers Grief Support
The Widow and Widower Grief Recovery class welcomes widows and widowers of all ages who have had a recent loss of a spouse or those individuals still struggling with the loss of their spouse from years past.  Our class provides a safe place for sharing experiences, understanding the grieving process, finding hope and support, and beginning our journey to recovery. Please contact Diane Ullom 650.369.1952.

Grief Support Group
Each person's pathway throughout the wilderness of grief is unique, and it is never easy. We offer five-week mutual support groups for individuals grieving the death of a loved one, meeting five consecutive Saturday afternoons. Each week we will discuss issues and concerns common to newly bereaved people. Individuals who have attended in the past are welcome to return. The general content may be the same, but your place in the journey will be different. To find out more about an upcoming session, please contact Diana Whittiker, 650.323.8688.

Presbyterian Women
We are a churchwide ministry for all women with a long legacy of mission involvement. We are connected to other churches throughout our denomination to encourage each other in our faith journeys. All women are welcome to join our monthly programs on the third Thursday, 10:00 to 11:30 in Fellowship Hall. We have a friendly gathering with coffee, refreshments and a speaker. Presbyterian Women also have monthly small group Bible studies that meet the first Thursday of the month. Do you like to sew? We have a monthly sewing group that meets the second Thursday, 9:30 in A20. Come help us make pillows for convalescent residents and layettes for new babies. If you are interested, please contact Jo or Bobbi, 650.366.4073.
