Mission Teams

Mission Teams

Short Term Mission Teams are sent out throughout the year to serve alongside our mission partners.  These are great opportunities to build relationships and experience firsthand how God is at work through his people.  While some teams require specialized skills, most require only willing hands and an open heart.  Short Term Mission

Cause and Passion-based mission teams at MPPC support our desire to bring God's justice, mercy, and compassion to our neighbors here on the Peninsula and around the world.  Some of these teams are:

  • Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Coalition—This team builds awareness and provides opportunities to engage in the Biblical call to seek justice as an expression of our faith, specifically in the area of human trafficking.  As many as 27 million people are held in slavery today.  Meet with others to learn about organizations and opportunities related to intervention, rescue, and redemption for those victimized by human trafficking.  Contact:  justicejourney@gmail.com
  • Computer Team—MPPC’s Computer Team provides opportunities for those with technical skills to support both local and global ministry partners through network setup and website support.  The team also takes used computers, especially laptops, and puts them to use in ministries worldwide.   Contact: John Van Deman, jvandeman@gmail.com
  • Regional Mission Teams—MPPC has teams that share a passion for God’s work in specific parts of the world, including Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.  These groups meet at varying times, but are a good place to learn about, pray for, and support God’s work in specific locations.  Contact: Judy Barber, jbarber@mppc.org
  • Member-in-Mission Care Team—Our MIM team provides support, prayer, and encouragement to the more than 60 MPPC members who serve on the mission field.  Contact:  Ernie Kirchner,  erniekirchner@gmail.com
  • Menlo Healthcare Ministries—An active healthcare team mobilizes health professionals and others through local clinics and short term mission trips to Ethiopia, Peru, and elsewhere.  This team actively participates in Compassion Weekend by providing volunteers to staff local clinics for those in need.  Contact:  Frank Marsh, fmarsh4@yahoo.com

Outreach teams at our campuses mobilize for local outreach projects and engage in regular service opportunities as a way of sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
